How important can food styling be ? Food styling is one crucial aspect in food photography.  One of the main challenge faced in Malaysian food photography industry today would be photographing traditional foods.

Most traditional foods be it Chinese, Malay or Indian has less emphasis on food decorations. Often, quite a lot of these chefs are self taught or learn cooking from traditional chefs that emphasize on taste. Restaurants may not be able to afford getting a food stylist for a food photography session.

At foodphotography.com.my , we do usually consult our clients with less food styling experience on food preparation beforehand. Most of our photographers has some minor food styling experience.

 With good garnishing , lighting and composition we are able to turn this dull looking mutton into something that is more acceptable.
